Young Voices

On Monday 8th February 2016, the choir had the opportunity to perform in the biggest children's choir at the O2, as part of Young Voices. Since Spetember, we have been frantically learning songs and actions in readiness for the big day and all our hard work paid off - what an amazing experience! As part of the concert, we had special guest artists performing with us. So we had the priviledge to share the stage with some incredibly talented individuals; Katie Meula, Lemar, Laura Knight (who sang at the Rigby World Cup Opening ceremony) and Ben Haeknow, of X Factor fame. We were mesmerised by the skill of the Beat Box World Champions, as it was incredible what they could do with no instruments just their voices. I would like to say how incredibly proud I am, of all the children that participated. Their energy, enthusiasm and fun never wavered, even after an afternoon of full on rehershals. To watch the joy on their faces, during the performance will stay with me forever and I thank them for allowing me to part of a truly memorable day. I also would like to thank all the parents for their support; helping with words, supporting on the night and for all the kind messages following the event. Like me, I'm positive you too had the best night and are just as proud. Finally, a massive thanks to Mrs Roberts & Mrs Cobley, who came along on the day, joined in with just as much enthusiasm as the children and kept going right up till Midnight. I very much appreciate all the teamwork that went into the day.
